L.E.G.E.N.D
An office's paper files, tracked with no server
A Windows app that tracks clients’ paper folders: the cabinet index where each one is filed, the contracts it holds, and whether it is out, with whom and until when. Several workstations share a plain network folder, with no server and no database.
- Platform
- Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit (.NET 10, WPF)
- Storage
- A shared network folder, encrypted (AES-256-GCM)
- Access
- One password and one role per person
- Status
- In development
A number is enough
Each folder is filed at an index: a numbered place that runs on from shelf to shelf and cabinet to cabinet (cabinet 1: index 1 to 50 on the first shelf, 51 to 100 on the second…). Each client gets an automatic number that is never reused.
Several workstations, no server
The only link between workstations is a shared folder: no server, no network traffic between instances, no database engine. If that folder becomes unreachable, open windows reconnect on their own when it comes back.
Encrypted, built for GDPR
All shared storage is encrypted. Everyone opens L.E.G.E.N.D with their own password, it locks with the Windows session, and an administrator can anonymize an archived client.
A demo with no install
The demo runs on any Windows PC with no installation and no administrator rights, on fictitious data generated on the spot: 2,000 clients in 9 cabinets and 5,000 contracts.
